The original semi-custom air handler for the new Olympic sized pool at East Irondequoit High School needed to be replaced. With a previous HVAC product life of less than 20 years, the customer knew they wanted their new HVAC system to have a longer lifespan. The original HVAC system was built into the space at the time of the overall facility construction. The new HVAC system would have to be custom designed for the original space in the new project.
HOSPITAL EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Why MarCraft TRU-CUSTOM? Delnor Hospital needed a replacement HVAC system for their existing packaged air handler serving the waiting area of an operational emergency department. Due to limited mechanical space available indoors, a custom HVAC System was needed to meet the requirements for the hospital. Temporary heating, cooling, and ventilation was provided while the HVAC system was down.
JOHNSON SPACE CENTER
MarCraft engineered and built the custom air handling units to meet the stringent specifications using four inch double-wall Reverse Panel™ construction. Our units achieved less than 1% air leakage and met the deflection criteria at the high design pressures required. A continuously welded HEPA filter frame also prevented bypass of partulate around filters.
A PET FOOD MANUFACTURER
MarCraft designed one 10,000 CFM unit. The unit length was restricted so in order to include the aircooled condensing unit, a 60″ wide service vestibule was included which also contained a custom condensing unit with condenser coils along the side wall.
A HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS MANUFACTURER
Working side-by-side with the Project Engineer and the Customer’s team, MarCraft designed, engineered and built a custom air handling unit to meet facility requirements with the same footprint for direct replacement.
